I could not get the program to work for me

I had a pdf file on my computer and I could not remember the source. It was user password protected. I wanted to buy a program that would help me with these in the future because sometime whatever code should be with the pdf file become separated from it. I could not remove the password to view the file. Thank you.

Appears to work fine, but...

The program appears to work, it does what it says, but I guess I won't know until I buy it, so looking for a more affordable solution. I would use it to make public records that should be text extractable available for copying and pasting text to make sure I quote accurately. I continue to point out to them that their image only documents are not accessible to the blind, but they don't seem to give a rip and continue the practice in this state (Hawai'i). There is no law here (yet) that requires them to make documents accessible. There is only a federal law which does not apply. In essence I would use the tool to continually make them aware that what they do wastes the public's time that they could be using to get more involved in the democratic process, but I guess that's their plan!

Cool product

Hey, real cool product. I was a little skeptical, however I downloaded and unlocked the first 100 pgs of a PDF that I wanted to print. It worked like a charm, so I bought it and unlocked the whole shebang.

Worked aftter a little while

Your software worked well after some thinking out about what I should do next.
It kept telling me that the book was not encrypted therefore I did not need to do anything further but when I eventually realised that I had only asked it to break the password for the pdf document I was working with, all became clear and I was able to open the document.

Recommended

After protecting several of my PDF documents and then after some time forgetting the passwords, this tool really helped me out.

No Frills PDF Password Remover

I've been looking for a PDF password remover that is simple and easy to use. I use it mainly to unlock PDF documents that I need to fill in details and send out to clients and government agencies. After downloading the demo and installing it, I was in no time at all, up and running so to speak. It simply is a NO FRILLS PDF Password Remover. =)

Will surely recommend this to friends and family.

The unencrypted file is unreadable

It removed the password, but the resulting file was unreadable.
Saving it to a .txt file did not change anything.

Useless.

I wanted to remove password protection from a PDF so I could copy quotes out of it and past those quotes to a document. Your program seems to require me to have that password aleady, which makes the program useless. I may have done something wrong or misundertsood the functions but if I did now you know about it. Anyway I unistalled it after it kept asking for the document password. And I don't even know what the price is, so I said it was poor too. Nelson.

Nice Surprise

I read the reviews here and was a bit unsure if this program would do what I needed and how well it might work with Windows Vista.

The program just works. Nice simple interface; a basic this file, do it to it and put the result file there.

Yeah! Quick and simple. The Vista install was trouble free (I did have UAC off - UAC just slows Vista down too much) and the program runs just fine on Vista.

PDF did not work for me

I tried it on one file, but the password prompt appeared and the process failed. I've since uninstalled PDF remover.

I agreed to provide feedback on "PDF Password Remover" and I received the following email three days ago with the link to provide the feedback or delay it for three days.

1. The link to QArchive.org did not give me a way of leaving feedback, so I am providing it here. The field for leaving my comments was filled with the prompt "ERROR" and locked. There was nothing I could do.

2. The PDF Password Remover program worked reasonably well, but it terminated with a screen that suggested it still might be processing. Please provide a clearer indication that the program has completed.

3. $30 seems excessive, though I understand supply and demand, and appreciate the 100 tries. I'm still trying to determine a cost/benefit rationale that makes this cost reasonable for someone who has only recently encountered a protected pdf. Lately, I've downloaded articles collected in book pdfs, where I want to save the article in my research archive, share with a colleague or use in a study group. In one case I used your product and I appreciated its easy use. Your price would be well worth while if you could enable me to save a protected "spdf" as a unprotected pdf. Frequently, I will "buy" an article in the Unsealer spdf format which I can open using my password and print to a printer but not to a pdf, and after 6 months I can no longer open the pdf. Usually, I'll print and rescan it to a very large pdf that isn't as readable. Paying $30 for your program would be worthwhile if it included converting the protected Unsealer spdf to unprotected pdf because the resulting pdf would have smaller file size than a print-rescan and be clearer to read, enabling archiving my intermediate research sources and sharing with an occasional colleague for their opinion. Otherwise, the emerging open source product "pdfcrack" at http://sourceforge.net/projects/pdfcrack/ is likely to duplicate the pdf password removal capability of your product.
